» Marco Polo

Owned by: Orient Line

A sub-company of NCL, Orient Line has just one vessel under it's name and she is Marco Polo. Previously named Alexandr Pushkin from 1965 - 1991 she's getting to be quite an old lady! Originally she was built by Mathias-Thesen Werft, Germany and in 1991 for 2 years she was rebuilt under the supervision of Knud Hansen, naval architects.

Marco Polo is a lovely looking vessel and her striking blue hull really add something different to her. Shes not huge by today's standards but has a very well proportioned 12 decks totalling 22,080 tons. She has a length of 578ft, a width of 77ft and a draft of up to 27ft and will cruise as a just under 20 knots. People-wise she'll carry up to 826 passengers and 350 crew, as an added bonus she has 2 'launches' which are used as passenger tenders.

If you get the chance to see Marco Polo, take a look - she's worth it!

Below are photographed events the Marco Polo has been seen at.
